FABRIC & WASH CARE
Poplin is a lightweight, plain-weave fabric known for its smooth and crisp texture. It features fine warp yarns and coarser weft yarns, which give it a subtle ribbed finish. Originally woven from silk and wool, modern poplin is commonly made from cotton or cotton blends. The fabric is breathable and comfortable, making it ideal for warm-weather clothing. It is also durable, holds its shape well, and resists wrinkles and everyday wear. Poplin takes dye and print exceptionally well, allowing for a wide variety of colors and patterns. It is widely used in making shirts, dresses, skirts, and home d-cor items like tablecloths. Easy to care for, poplin is typically machine washable, though it may shrink if not pre-treated.
